THINGS MOTHERS NEED TO KNOW: IMPORTANT VACCINE SHOTS FOR BABIES AT 0- 6 MONTHS
Babies at 0- 6 months have immature immunity, easily suffer from diseases and severe complications. Sufficient and prompt vaccination to your adorable baby not only enhances their immunity and prevents diseases but also helps for healthy development.

► For neonates:

► For neonates:
- Hepatitis B: within 24 hours after birth, neonates will be received Hep B vaccination, help them against Hep B virus. This shot is going to repeated at the 2nd, 3rd, 4th month and 15 -18 month-old.
- BCG vaccine for tuberculosis : this shot will be given prior to hospital discharge to protect neonates away from primary tuberculosis and other types of severe tuberculosis.
► For 2- 4- month-old babies:
- 6 in 1 vaccine: protects your baby against six diseases (pertussis, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B and haemophilus influenzae type b) combined in 1 shot. Babies will be vaccinated at the 2nd, 3rd, 4th month and 15 -18 month-old.
- Rotavirus vaccine for diarrhea prevention: babies will be orally administered 2 doses (Rotarix) or 3 doses (Rotateq) 1 month apart since 2-month-old.
- Pneumococcal vaccine (Synflorix, Prevenar 13): prevent otitis media, pneumonia, meningitis… caused by Pneumococcus. Babies will be vaccinated 03 basic doses 1 month apart, start at 2-month-old and the 4th booster dose given at least 6 months apart from the 3rd shot.
► For 6- month-old babies:
Seasonal Flu vaccine: Vaxigrip/ Influvac should be given to ≥ 6 month-old babies with 2 doses vaccinated 1 month apart and repeat annually to prevent serious complications of influenza pneumonia.

At the AIH, during vaccination session, your baby will be received medical exam and comprehensive assessment from a doctor including physical development, motility and intelligence, from which to confirm whether your baby has achieved important developmental milestones for age or not.
