JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for scheduling and confirming patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries and medical consultations
Costs of drugs and consumable for surgical patients;
Assist the surgeon to complete the medical records;
Responsible for compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence;
Answer and forward incoming phone calls to the appropriate person;
Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results to appropriate person;
Welcome visitor, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate person;
Interview patients in order to complete documents, case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms
Maintain medical records, technical library and correspondence files;
Operate office equipment such as mail messaging systems, and use word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications to prepare reports, invoices, financial statement, letters, case histories and medical record;
Transmit correspondence and medical records by email, email, or fax;
Perform various clerical and administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies
Transcribe recorded messages and Doctors’ diagnoses and recommendations into patients’ medical records;
Complete insurance and other claim forms;
Prepare correspondences and assist physicians or medical scientists with preparation of reports, speeches, articles and conference proceedings;
Other tasks as assigned by Department Head.
JOB REQUEST
Minimum 02 years’ experience working as secretary and administration with diploma preferable at least 1 year in healthcare industry;
Had basic knowledge of hospital operations and all its related activities
Good interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills;
Professional, proactive, tactful and able to work under pressure;
Able to complete tasks before deadline;
Computer literate
Fluent in English at 4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing.
